any one know much about this maker all i could find out about him was he learned from ralph bone. i have one of his knives but do not know any thing about him. i think he has been around for a while?

I met him at a Dallas gun show some years ago. Super nice guy. He had a display
table there. I believe he told me he lived in Lubbock Texas if memory serves.

I don't know much about him either, but I do have a subhilt made by him. It is a good solid well made knife, that came with a VERY sturdy sheath. Nothing fancy but one you could put through rugged use and be confident with.

I have several of his blades. Very well made. Handles on some models run rather large but I think that is a good thing.

Good solid maker in my mind, just doesn't get a lot of press.

Years ago I owned a bunch of his knives. Absolutely solid maker with damn good, functional knives.

He once made knives for Orvis, back in the late 70s 0r early 80s. I seemed to recall, tho not sure from where, that he served in Vietnam, possibly special forces, and his designs for fighting knives stem from that experience. I used to see him at Houston gun shows, yet havent for years now. Super nice guy. I have some of his knives, and they are excellent.

This is a shot in the dark. I have a few of Mr. DeLeon's knives. Do you have any of the material that shows what knives he had available?
He passed away some years ago.

Sorry, don't have any paperwork nor literature on his knives. I think I am down to one of them now, if any. Brother has one that I think he is looking to move, no sheath with it IIRC. Larger fighter I think, maybe a Jungle Bowie or some such name.

Enedino Deleon sold the Ralph Bone brand to Scott Parker. Scott lives in my neighborhood.

That said, I don’t have much information beyond the basics of the Bone knives lineage.
