Does anyone know anything about De Leon knives. (Jim De Leon?). Where can I find out more information about him. Supposedly he worked for the Ralph Bone Knife Company from 1967 - 1970.

Thanks!

I just know of DeLeon custom knives in Texas. He has been making them for quite a while, but I dont know if thats who you are talking about or not.

Most recent contact info I have seen as listed by "UglyJim" over at knifeforums:

DeLeon Made Knives
1920 East 14th Street
Lubbock, Texas 79403
(806) 765-7638

I will also be seeing him at the upcoming show in Oklahoma next month, and will see if that is still the correct info.

You think maybe thats who you are looking for?

Mr De Leon seems to be a nice guy and I have spoken to him numerous times at gun shows. The knives need some improvement in construction for their price point, IMHO.

Thanks for your help guys.

Here is a photo of a De Leon I just picked up off of eBay. I haven't received it yet, but it looks like a beauty.

Looks like a pretty nice knife. The fit and finish on his knives are not perfect, but it is quite good and construction is rock solid. I ususally check his knives out at the show and find the prices are very good. I have had one of his bowies for several years now and like it very much.

ive 12 of his.. and i do have his catalog here..
if i can find it..id be glad to scan it and email it to you..
