Dead cel phone battery?

Neat, but since I don't smoke, I'd be better off carrying a small battery-powered recharger.

While I don't have the link, there is a technique called "surging" rechargeable batteries. If I understand it right, the large crystals inside are broken up again by the massive surge. Don't hold me to that though. You utilize a car battery. You need to be careful though cause you can explode them. They do it for dewalt batteries.

I'll have to find the link when I get back to town.

I remember in the Army they used to tell us to put radio batteries (the old anprc) under our arm pits to get a small recharge on them. I have no idea it it'd work with cell phone batts though.
Thanks for the link.

I've noticed that if I remove my cell phone battery and keep it in near the sleeping bag, or generally just keep it out of the cell phone during backpacking trips, it seems to hold a charge longer.

Take the battery out. Bang it on the ground. Put back in. I heard it works.
