This is a large recurve bowie I just finished up, I have had this one drawn up for a while and I finally got around to doing it.
It was largely inspired by the choppers of Burt Foster and Tad Lynch.
It has what I would call a working hand rubbed finish down to 320, with very light forge remnants visible.
The handle is OD green canvas micarta with ss pins and thong tube. The blade is 1/4 5160 at 9.5", with an OAL of 15.25".
It is definitely a beast, it probably won't win any beauty contests but should make one heck of a workhorse!
Let what you think.

Looks great ! Like a cross between a khukri a camp knife and a chopper. Awesome work

Looks like a fantastic work horse

If I may make a small suggestion ...... Almost any full tang knife can benefit from having a tapered tang

Thanks guys.
Joe normally I would agree with you on that, but with such a large blade, It balances out better with the tang at full thickness.
