I decided to use the same type of trap set up that I posted yesterday but adapt it for a deadfall trap.

And a full view( remember that the weight used on a deadfall should be at least 5 times the weight of the intended prey)~

To trip this trap you could either bait the trigger stick or turn it into a platform trap and set it in a game trail.
Anyway here is a little video of me tripping the trap~

This was my tool of the day~

Some of the tree's looked like they should be in horror movies with all the dead vines twisted around them !

Thanks buddy, when I posted yesterday I looked back at my post and realised how the trap was hard to understand from my pics. When I get chance I'm gonna go out and make a much bigger version of this one, gonna go for a big video thud when it crashes to the ground !!!:D:thumbup:

I "reread" that thread a few times and after your last comment,it hit me
the stick that holds the spring load down is like a pivot,
and that other stick was the trigger.
actually holds the spring loaded tree down
once it pops off between the vertical stick and the stick the cordage
is tied to,poof....
very simple after I finally "saw" it
makes sense now
gonna try it this summer on some of our camping trips

Another great post Pit. Always enjoy them and learn a lot from them!
