It is good to see that Capt Phil Harris from the Cornelia Marie. "Deadlist Catch" will be remembered tonight. they are paying tribute to him in a 2 hour episode.

"I must go to the sea again, to the lonely sea and sky, all that I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by"

"In the nets of god may we be gathered"
Lost at sea monument, portmagee, county kerry.

sounds like a cool one.. wish i could check it out.. we watched a bunch of Deadliest Catch while we were at Greg's house..:)

It looks like its one regular Deadliest Catch episode, followed by an "After the Catch" episode remembering Capt. Phil. I'll be DVD-ing it, as its one of my favorite tv shows. Though not foreseeable, it was not really a shocker to learn of his death after he already had that previous bloodclot, and he seemed to fuel himself with an endless supply of cigs, Red Bull and stress. Capt. Sig has really aged during the course of the show as well.

Interesting how even my Wife, not usually proned to watching this type of show with me, has started watching this season. Getting to know and appreciate the characters (and I do mean characters ;)) and the crazy work they do makes Deadliest Catch one of the few reality tv shows worth watching IMHO, besides the survival shows of course.

RIP Capt. Phil.

Professor.

I really think the whole crabbing deal is cool, but Discovery has tainted the industry for me with their marketting ploys. Kind of ridiculous how much money they are making on other peoples' deaths....

If Discovery ignored Capt. Phil's death, people would say that they had no feelings. I guess you can't win in a situation like this.

The Discovery Network is in the business of making money. They also produce about the only shows on TV worth watching. (IMHO, of course)

I have not watched this show, but if I did watch more tv, it would probably be something like this sort, or CSI, Law and Order (Dooont Dooont) sound byte impersonation.....

I know this man touched many hearts pre and post mordem. The TV industry could and has done much worse than this show. I hope the characters are paid well for this form of entertainment exploitation.

Judging by the amount of money they've all been putting back into their boats the last few years, I'd guess they are being well-paid to allow the cameras aboard.

Captain Phil knew you gotta have the end to have the story. R.I.P.
