The story below took place on Saturday. There are some really big crocodiles in some of our rivers. I have personally seen one that's about 7 metres long. It looks like a baby whale.
Quite a scary appearance!

The news item just goes to show how dangerous a croc can be.

A WOMAN apparently intent on suicide was killed when she jumped into a pool of crocodiles in front of scores of horrified tourists Sunday yesterday at a wildlife park near Bangkok.
The woman, identified in media reports as Somjai Setabul, was seized by one crocodile and then swarmed by more than 100 others, witnesses said. Workers at the park were only able to retrieve her body 20 minutes after she jumped in.
Park guide Thanes Wiriyaporn said told The Associated Press the incident took place around feeding time, when the tourists were purchasing buckets of chicken parts to toss to the crocodiles.
Just right in front of me, she just jumped into the pond, without a word, without a cry, Thanes said.
Charoon Yangprapakorn, one of the farm's executives, said the park has very strict safety measures but this particular case could not be prevented.
Every year there have been at least two or three people who were intent on suicide here but we talked them into changing their minds, he said. But this woman showed no sign of depression or absentmindedness like the others did, so nobody noticed her at all.
He said the last suicide at the farm was about 10 years ago.

Here's a photo of a golfer that was eaten by an alligator:

They can be nasty beasts once they lose their fear of humans. The Florida gators are more dangerous than the gators and caiman of the jungles. Those jungle lizards don't see too many folks and just want to get the hell out of Dodge when humans come around.

If that was an American zoo someone like PETA probably would have sued the surviving family members for psychological stresses to the crocs.Or for providing inadequate nutrition for the crocs!LOL!
