I was at my old partner's house over the weekend and stumbled across the October 1998 edition of Soldier of Fortune. Emblazoned on it's cover is the article title "Deadly Kukri Techniques". The article was written by Marty Kufus. The opening picture depicts a Bando instructor (Steve Minnix) parrying a bayonet thrust from an SKS wielding bad guy.
The article sketches some khukuri, Ghurka and Bando history and does a nice outline of some basic khukuri combat techniques.
Interesting stuff and worth ordering a back issue if you love khukuris.
