If you have a store near you that carries Coghlan's, they are now offering a LMF style Army sized ferro rod for $4.

Now, it may be from China, or the cap may fall off... I have no idea how good they are... But, I saw them and I thought I would tell you all.

If you're looking for cheap firesteels, I got one a while back for free by ordering from majorssurplus.com. I think it came free when I ordered a 10 dollar headlamp. The head lamp was ok but the firesteel is great.
