I've wanted to get a water filter for emergencies at home or for camping. I didn't want to spend much, since I don't foresee that I'll be using it much. I just want to have some 'insurance', but at the same time it should be a filter I can depend on.
Yesterday I found a Katadyn Mini Filter at a local outdoor's store for $43.93 because someone ripped-open the box to see the contents. Nothing was missing from the box. Regular price is $89.97. I bought it on the spot. I know that Katadyn's 2-micron ceramic filters have a good reputation, but I'm not familiar with this particular model.
Did I got a deal, or did I throw away $43.93?
