I saw an ad from Bass Pro for the Buck Mantis @ $12.88. It seemed like a good deal for some stocking stuffers (of course, a couple may have fallen out of the stockings into my pockets). While waiting at the knife counter, I saw they had the Buck Mayo Cutback (box labeled "Small Mayo") also for $12.88. It wasn't a sale sign on the Cutbacks, just the regular price tag. I ended up buying a couple of fistfulls of Cutbacks, $12.88 seemed like a good deal, even though it wasn't "on sale".

as long as you are happy with your purchase, it was a good buy. a quick search on froogle shows that you are paying less than what is charged online where the 174 is selling for $25
