Wow :O this newbie didn't know that it wasn't allowed to notify forum members on some well known seller sites who still offer some original Lone Wolfs at great prices. ...So I can comment about or point out custom makers' websites, but no regular seller sites who offer discontinues Lone Wolfs for less than 100 USD?
I hope it ìs allowed to express my opinion about my "rules violation" i.e. "deal spotting": I think it is flabbergasting ridiculous :/ Thank you.

It seems a little odd that you went with a paid membership without bothering to read the rules.

Fabbergasting ridiculous? Why is that exactly?
Read this section (if you can spare the 45 seconds that is):

Paying members keep this site running, so why would any dealer that doesn't pay get to do so (profit) on the backs of those that do pony up the money? It's quite simple and to the point I thought. If you want to alert someone on a deal, send them a visitor message, private message, or email. Again, simple. ;)

True. But it has nothing to do with getting up backs of those that do pony up the money. I as a paying member saw a retailer with original discontinued Lone Wolfs under 100 USD and it seems logical to post that in a thread about Lone Wolfs (I have no affiliation with the seller what so ever). Further I can't understand why it is possible to put up links of sellers on Youtube or custom knife makers who are in the end sellers too.

Meh. I didn't care. Didn't expect a lot of rules, or different from any other forum. But most important the 10 USD was such little money: here in The Netherlands 10 USD gives you only 30 cigarettes or one lousy gallon of gas for example.

If I identify such a YouTube reference in the forum I moderate, I remove it from the post. But since I read every post in that forum (takes me a while to do), sometimes I don't follow all the links. Vendor links are reasonably easy to spot and I remove them.

As for mentioning custom makers, for makers who do not have a maker membership here, I will allow the name to be mentioned, but not a site reference to be in a thread. This is a bit more leeway than I allow for a store. The maker's name is part of the knife description for a custom knife. It's a bit of a gray area.

We do what we can. Some stuff slips by.

That being said, a $10 membership doesn't pay much of the bills.
Commercial memberships are pricey (and help pay the rent) The owner wants to give them something for their money. Deal with it.

Frank, you keep this up I may have to hand over my avatar...:p

Look, our rules are pretty simple. They aren't perfect, but they work. Please respect them, and respect the people who also pay to advertise here. If you see a vendor who has a great deal on things, maybe you should tell them to advertise here - a dealer membership is only $200 a year and it's the cheapest & most effective advertising in the industry.

Let's close this before anyone says anything further that might be interpreted as needlessly provocative and leads us down a path better avoided.
