Dealer Specials and the Sasquatch

Hi,

I was wondering what exactly "dealer special" means?

Does this mean that everyone who wants, say, a Sasquatch, has to go through a particular dealer? Or does this mean that this dealer is the only dealer who can stock them?

As to the Sasquatch, does anyone have a rough idea on pricing (small and large)?

Thanks.

Some of Randall's 26 or so dealers have a protected design that is reserved only for that dealer to order. Not all dealers have one but a few of the dealer specials are particularly good knives. The one you mentioned, the Sasquatch, is one of the good ones, in my opinion. I had a small one, in stainless, with a stag handle and Duralumin butt cap with thong. My son-in-law picked it from my collection as I was giving all my "sons" one of my Randalls. I got it about five years ago so don't remember the price but someone here will have the phone number for Doug Kenefick who is the "Sasquatch Dealer". He's also a great guy to deal with.

I have the small, and the full size. They are very impressive. I think the small is a bit more practical, 8" vs 11" and allot thinner.
I'm not sure of current prices but the small was around $480.00 and the large, around $600.00.
I hope this helps.;)
