Does anyone already know for a fact that one of the Fiddleback Forge dealers will ship to Australia?

I have been messaging a lot of today with a friend in New South Wales who likes the Fiddleback midtech line, and he says the dealers he has looked at do not ship there.

In this case, if worse comes to worse, I will sell him mine and buy another, but it would be nice to know for sure who does and who does not ship internationally.

Id be suprised that ksf dont ship there. Well not for free though.
Afaik usamadeblade does aswell as long as you email them in advance. Good guys both of them.
They both accept orders to norway

Brian, if he's having trouble finding someone remember he can also order midtech direct from the shop (with the usual international shipping).

That is actually what I suggested to him. I told him to come here to the forum. He was a member of BF years ago anyway.

I hadn't seen any of the mid techs or custom shop versions show up in sales post lately so wasn't sure what the guys had in house.

We've got Camp Knives, Dukes, Hiking Buddies, and Runts. We're out of Bushfingers, but there are some at dealers.

cloudmaker has already contacted me. i'll be shipping out some mid techs to him next week

Thanks for doing this Abe.

Coincidentally, I just talked to VANCE last night regarding some more Mid Techs!

Hi Mist, As Abe has said, I am the Australian Dealer for Fiddleback Forge. I have a website (which has contact links) but currently only sell through my Australian Blade Forums sub forum Abercrombie Knives. I will PM through all my contact details.

Phillip, maybe you could put my web address up on your website?

Cheers,
Jason.

We ship to Australia as well but ask people to contact us first for a shipping quote.

Just an FYI, those in Australia might be able to tell me more, but we have had several knives ship to Australia that have been rejected by customs. I was told the shipping laws for knives to Australia have changed.

I haven't looked at that section of the website, but he came back and asked me if I knew anyone else because USAMB did not ship to Australia. But yes it does get pricey to do priority there, I have a few customers down there.

Only knives not allowed for import are daggers, balisongs & automatic or assisted folders.

We had 2 spyderco Para Military 2s shipped back to us from customs last month and a DPX Hest shipped back to us last week. The DPX was held by customs for over 3 months. All were going to Australia. One of our customers told us the laws had changed on shipping knives to Australia. Comically we shipped the Para II's back out and called them collectible cutlery and they went through just fine.

Fixed Blades have never been a problem, There was a change in law on the 15th of December allowing most of the restricted folders :

Piece of advice - If you mislabel items customs will eventually catch on and put you on the blacklist. This will result in customs delay on all parcels sent by you. I have had numerous chats with customs regarding knives being declared as camping tools etc. They don't take kindly to this.
