I am stuck in DC for another few days ...any suggestion on dealers that would be worth while to visit while here .... mail me at a.moore@angelfire.com if you don't want to post it.

There aren't a whole lot of dealers around here. If you have transport, try Springfield Mall or Landmark Mall, both down Interstate 395 to the South. Both have Chesapeake Knife & Tool stores. One is at the Duke St. exit and the other is at the Franconia Rd. exit after the 495 Beltway crossing. If you go West on Duke Street, it becomes Little River Turnpike. If you stay on it, you will come to Annandale. Near the intersection of Little River and Annandale Road, there is a Dawsons Sporting Goods that has a nice, if expensive, selection. Hopefully, others may know of other dealers. I will be watching to see for my own interest.

There's a Chesapeake Knife & Tool at the White Flint Mall in Rockville, MD and it's on the Red Line metro.

Best would be AMH Cutlery, but it's up by Baltimore and you'd have to have a car or other transport to get there. The Knife Center of the Internet is in Beltsville. Haven`t visited there, but have heard they have a walk-in shop of some kind. Brian Skelton Discount Knives is in Rockville, but is mail order only - no shop to visit.

I don't know what's actually in DC, don't get downtown much - except to take the kids to the Smithsonian and such.

Good luck finding some knife spots!
