Wondering if these fish knives ever come with wooden handle as well.

Also, if someone who owns one would be so kind to tell whether these would be suited for for self-defense or other mode casual purposes only; I really dig their looks and I'm not sure how these would stack as a fighting-type blade against, let's say, a Reti.

Moonw: stick with the Reti! Fish knife handle may be a bit to hard to hold on to? Maybe some of these other arsewhuppin experts can tell ya more but i wouldnt think it would be top choice. Great for fish tho!

Thank you sooo much mopar, you just save me a beat down in a big way.

We was just talking Karda yesterday for compare to small bowie and / or my lack of said karda.

I thank you for scooping it, my wife thanks you for scooping it and kamidogs wife also said to say thanks from her as well.

It comes in wood, as Ndog said, it's great for prepping fish, but not as a fighter. I would use it in a reverse grip, if I had too, but it wouldn't be my first, or sixth choice.

Handle looks a bit like Osage Orange, at least the hunk of it that I got. Nice one.

Congrats Maya... That's a beauty! I am surprised it lasted that long. I have been toothless these past two weeks or I would of grabbed it.
I will have teeth next week... Fair warning in advance ;) I will be jumping on the good stuff, if you want it be sure to EMS before me cause I have some kukri collecting to catch up on.

I was suprised too - kept telling myself that if it was still there the next time I logged on to the forum, I would grab it. Eventually I couldn't resist.

Will be glad to have a chiruwa handle in my collection, made by Sher no less :D
