Thanks,

BAS, Sirupati gone.

This Sher new model in horn is the same knife as the Neem one that Dean snagged the other day (the "Sher Special"), although 3 oz. heavier. The crack drops the price $15 which is a great deal.

You know, this knife is almost identical to the old Rod Allen Hanshee that Danny had, although that one was a bit curvier and had a slightly different handle.

I hope this becomes a regular item.

Norm

For some reason. I thought there would be no DOTD over the holiday, so I stopped by to read the posts. No complaints, the DOTD is fun. Can't believe any kind of hand forged sword is selling for $140 bucks, especially such a good one.

$139 is a friggin' steal! That is a one-of-a-kind Uncle Bill Birthday price. I can't believe it lasted 5 minutes. They started out close to $200 and were worth every bit of it as far as I was concerned.

Oh what the hell. I just sent an email for the sword. Excellent price for it.

Edit: Just saw that I've been beat to it. Thanks for saving me from myself. ;)

that's right. I paid 195$ for mine, was this one a blem?

Nope, no blem. They have dropped an average of 8-10 oz. over the first models, but other than that they are the same. Still 27.5".

BTW, surprised that Seax is still there. I got a YCS karda the other day with this dab dabe wood, and was unsure what to expect, but it is a very nice smooth heavy wood. Kind of like hill walnut in texture, but feels heavier and unlike the walnut has no grain showing that I can see.

I wrote to Yangdu about it and she said she would check with Nepal and find out about it. This is only the second piece of it that has been used as far as I know.
