Ooo... I was starting to think that my HIKV was receeding a bit, but I guess not. That balance and that Pen are both calling to me. And is it me, or does that Pen have more of a belly than the other 18" Pens we've seen?

Also, what does "field sharp" mean? Is that like "uber sharp"?

including this chitlangi... ive already purchased 3 knives this past week
i should throw my computer out the window now

Thats an amazing balance with a traditional bolster, just the right weight too.

Great bargon on the little knives.

I'm sorry but in the interest of safety that Pen will have to be thoroughly field-tested. Please send it to me first for testing.

jefptw, Two out of three aint bad! I confess to the YCS Karda, saw one a few weeks ago, been looking out ever since. you should really like the 18 in Pen knife, I have a 15 in Pen knife which is excellent, the 18 in must be awesome.

One quick note here. I already have two 18" Balance Khukuri's by Kumar, one with Montana Elk antler handle and one with Neem. Both are beautiful well made pieces with execellent fitting sheaths. They are two of my half-dozen favorites amoung the twenty-five plus that I own. I'm currently using the Neem handled one to shape up two pieces of Italian Junipur wood for a couple of replacement handles. The ease at which this khukuri removes excess material from this really hard wood is amazing. I cannot be more enthusiastic in recommending these balance khukuri's by Kumar. In fact, if someone has not snapped-up this bad-boy by tomorrow morning it's going to be mine. :D

Man, I have GOT to get one of those big Villager pens! I almost got one the other day but Bladite swiped it from me. The _nerve_ of some people!

LOL! Really? Geez, the rest of us buy maybe one or two knives a year. You must have no self-control at all. ;)

Sorry, gotta go. A big box of knives tipped over and is blocking the front door. Gonna take a couple of hours to clear everything away. :D

The best advice I can give you is A) either take one of your new knives and smash the computer to pieces (see Dave; he's probably done several), hire a hypnotist to erase all thoughts of HI from your brain, and take up stamp collecting, or B) take out a home equity loan and tell your wife the truckload of knives you are about to acquire is an "investment."

Good luck my friend!
