I keep hearing that D1 calling my name.

That and the 3/4" thick AK on the 8/31 thread. . .Hoping someone buys them before my credit card jumps out of my wallet while I'm asleep and orders one (both).

I don't recall seeing a D1 before; it looks a bit like a knife implementation of a Tarwar to me. I also haven't seen a comprehensive listing of the R-series knives on H.I.'s Web site. Is there some part of it I've missed, or are they so infrequently made that they're only sold on BF?

that's what i was thinking when i bought mine. there aren't many of them out there, somewhere's around 15, i'd say. probably less.
