What is an EK Chitlangi? I must have missed that one...

The ek chirra was a one off by Jag and Prem (the same team that brough the dui chirra Chitlangis to HI). It has a narrow but deep fuller between the elbow and the tip. It was snagged by Mike L. on a DOTD in '01 and I was able to obtain it recently. Care must be taken in researching these in the Archives since Bill called them dui and ek chirra Chainpuris at first. Yvsa got the first dui chirra Chainpuri and in his follow up posting calls it a Chitlangi. Exactly how the name was reconciled wasn't evident but it has stuck.

Got it from him in February warty. If you were around then, you'd just started. Recently I've given some thought to posting about it since it was a one off.

The Chitlangi has the bell pommel covered in brass and the Chainpur's pommel only has the brass keeper. As for mixing the names of the styles, the Gelbu Special is the Udhaipur style. So maybe Udhailangpur or Udhaichitchain?
