First on...If only I weren't broke! <sob>

Some really nice buys. I really like that BGRS. Whoever get's that one is lucky. Villager with a neem handle to boot.

Sarge GTI:) Just great, now i'm going to have to finish the wood, make a better sheath, and sharpen it just right....woe is me;)

Dang, asleep at the console again today! I'd really like to get that BGRS, but....I have enough khukris.

Ok, you know I'm not serious. I'll pick one up some day.

These are great, but I'm not so into the light woods. I like horn and darker woods. The blade on the AK looks really well done though. Happy sharking!

I'm not much of a light wood fan either, Andy. However, if treated with the right oils these woods take on a beautiful golden honey hue. Or, if you're like me (ie lazy), you just sand them and stain them with your favorite poly stain:)

Great looking group...but a question.

On the second pic down. Why is there a band on the cho area? I know it's because of finishing but why leave it that way?

I would imagine that it would be left like that just because it's a villager. Just a little satin finish on the blade, nothing special.

Whoever snagged that BGRS is really lucky. Almost a full size baby ram. Little lighter than mine.

am I going totally nuts, or did someone once mention that they put that little extra polish to protect it against rust since that part of the the blade is the most prone being exposed at the mouth of the scabbard. I thought someone said something about Sgt. Kharka doing that to the blades he made. Like I said, there is a high probability that I am just making this up:D

Jake

Only the second BDC in antler ever offered and I missed it! :( Well, I snagged the antler katunje yesterday so couldn't have grabbed it anyway. Pretty knife.

Norm knows these things... I have the other antler 14" BDC, and it's listed as my "favorite knife" in my profile, if that tells you how much I like that one.

Nice snag, who got it. Twin to mine.

Ad Astra

AHHH! I can't take it. Email sent on:

18 inch 25 ounce villager Ang Khola by Bura. Hot pepper wood (Khorsani ko Kath) handle. $95 YBB.

If I get it, shame on you all sharks. I'm no. 258 to view the post. That is on the light side-ish for a 18" AK, new exotic wood, no cho creep, trad. bolster, and villagers are best of all! Bura-made too. Fingers crossed.
