All beautiful.

Question is: Do I need a 2nd of any of them?

<Wife sees me eyeing the blades, she's throwing them death stares (kamidog knows what I'm talking about), I think I better come back tonight, when she's asleep...:D>

1. The blades are handmade - so technically no two are exactly alike...

2. Dual wield. So yes of course you need at least two.

3. My wife knows an despises triangle boxes, but I gave her a Kumar Karda for her birthday in Oct. She loved it. Perhaps there is always hope?

The wife thinks they look alike, she says I don't have enough hands for all my blades (she's probably right), and she has her own collection of blades I've given her, that trick is kind of played out at my house...lol

Perhaps she needs a handsome display case with lots of extra space...[emoji6]

Someday I just gotta have me one of them Agni Jowala's. That particular one really sings.

Another one that when I first saw one in person at Yangdu's impressed but didn't really sing. Seen a couple more on 2nd and 3rd visit and well now they sing. LOUD~!

Oh well, we'll call it a goal for now. Nice nice stuff as usual.

yes, I have a weakness for the NOT shiny blades, the scale speaks to me you can feel the craftsman's touch

I hear that. Mine is by Purna and beautiful in it's own right. However, I must admit I think I prefer Kumar's rendition. Unfortunately, not enough to purchase another. When killing Zombies IMHO wielding two might be counter productive. If needing a backup, I believe a Falcatta, Janawar, Ram Dao or the Raj Kumar Fighting Sword would suffice. Although a 24" Teardrop Sirupati would be kinda cool. A lopping tool if there ever was one.

Email sent on Giant Chitlangi Bowie. I have another one, by Bura, but at 55 oz it's really too heavy for me. Great to hold and look at, though. This new one by Kumar is 8 oz lighter, which is a huge difference. Here's the Bura GCB:

Someone else beat me to today's GCB. I'll just have to be content with my Bura GCB. :D

The wife thinks they look alike, ...lol

Good comeback is when she says "Awwwe thats such a cute baby!" Casually tell her "All babies looks alike to me! Their all practically bald, round headed with pink feet and puffy cheeks. I can understand how they get mixed up in the incubation room". Then run like a stripped ape! But really after a few times she will stop saying that. Works with my nurse:D

Yes sir I do! You know that bedroom pic goes here.

Now you got that GCB and you dont know what you want do you;) Life must be good eh! I dont have one either ya know. Might have to put that on my list too with that long Tibetan sword.

Oh my, my my....any one of those swords would be a treasure. I've got the itch for a lighter HI sword that I need to scratch at some point in the near future. I've got a small Christmas bonus coming that might cover one of those...no, no, no. That's to offset Santa's expenditures:grumpy:

Sooooo gorgeous. Kumar's work always sings to me. You know, I was digging around in the Trunk-o-khuks last night and stumbled across my VERY first HI blade: A Kumar made Villager that is kind of like a cross between an AK and a BAS and maybe a KLVUK (even though this particular knife is about 15 years old).
It cost me the princely sum of 75 dollars which might as well been a King's ransom to a college kid at the time, but I scraped it together...the rest is history.

My long-winded reasoning is that any one of these Kumar blades is basically an assured heirloom that will give you a lifetime of enjoyment and use.

Masterful.

Do the VUKs come with or without sheaths?

Usually without. Once in awhile Yangdu will have a sheath that fits properly and will offer it together.
Generally not though.

We have some fine leather bender on board here that could fix that for you too.
