I have the sword with a wooden handle at 26 oz. The point of balance is about 5 1/2 inches before the guard. It is a really nice sword and has the feel of a chopper.

The horn handle should move the balance back toward the guard. It is probably a better choice for a handle material than the wood....if you want a balance that is closer to the handle. My guess is that the extra weight of this one in horn is in the handle and not the blade.

Mail sent on Sarge. Fingers crossed.

Edited...Got it! YES!!!

Today I recieved the Sgt. Khadka special for my friend...seriously, the Sgt. does fine work. For $25 you can't go wrong. Heck, I'm talking myself into one for me...

I like the lines on the Katunje special today. Haven't been so hot on them in general, but this one I like muchly.

And If I had the dough, that village BGRS would be snagged so fast! But one must save up for christmas presents (for other people, that is) Hurry sharklings! Pickin's good today!

Sgt. Khadka speical, Katunje gone.

The neem on that AK is awesome. And just $95! Wish I hadn't been in meetings all day or I would have tried for that one and put one of my other AK's up for adoption!

And that Manjushri is a great buy for sure. I got my horn one for that price, but it had a small crack in the pommel although the scabbard is fine. Like many HI products the swords seem to be getting a bit lighter. Mine are 36 and 32 oz. respectively, but I think in general the trend towards lighter weight is good and makes them more manueverable.

Great deals all around today.

Pratap Malla (1641-1674) was the King of Kantipur which is today's Kathmandu, Nepal. He was an authority in music, religion and the art of warfare.
