Good going guys. I came to look at today's bargains and you've made Yangdu's work easy today.

I got the Garud. That eagle is just gorgeous. I was thinking about the Tarwar as well... but three in one day is enough for me. I guess I'll have to be patient about my dream of becoming a Pakistani Warrior ;)

Got to admit, it was just luck that I was by my work computer at the right time, walked by, hit refresh, and as I passed it again it popped up. Now to figure out how to get a CAK and M43 (keep running out of money for this kind of thing).

I thought Garuds were dragons.

I just checked the site and it confirmed my aging memory; the Garud is a dragon. Either way it is a cool addition to your collection. Today's was the first "critter headed Khuk" I would have got if I was fast enough; but I was way too slow today.

Aye, the carving is just fantastic. I flipped through The Rough Guide to Nepal by David Reed, who says Garud is a eagle/human carved by Changu Narayan that transports Vishnu-not quite sure who he is.

Sounds like we both remembered what we had read; the two sources just don't agree. I took what I read to mean that garud translates as dragon.

I love the handle shape on the 15" AK and Tarwar. Yum!! There's something about a curved handle on a short sword and AK that really apeals to me. *drools*.
