I have a chit in that size by Kumar but was tempted to get this one with this handle and put the other up for sale! What a nice knife and I can't believe the price. Luckily medbill saved me. (-:

I just snagged an antler BDC as well a few weeks ago, but now wish I had waited! The scrimshaw on this one really appeals to me, and personally I really like the smooth white antler more than the rougher stuff. Gorgeous work by Bura. I swear his scrimshanding is getting better each week...

If this one had been an 18" model I would have put up one hell of a fight for it.

The Chainpuri has a lean, mean, Malla-like point. I bet that sucker is lightning fast.

Have one like it in wood but I like that one's point better....

Finally got a chainpuri...

What are they like? I've never been a big fan of the thinner blades, but I always thought the handles were really cool.
 
I have been delighted with every product I've purchased from HI and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Great product, great value, great service it doesn't get better than that. Also helping out a village in Nepal makes me happy as well.
