Wow love the look for that R-6. Want a bombproof belt knife? Get an R-6:thumbup:

I recently used mine to break down a bunch of old patio furniture to scrap the frames. Lots of tough PVC based fabric, prying, and lots of cutting into aluminum. after 45 minutes of straight cutting I had marred the blade and dulled it enough to need a touch up. 4 minutes with an arkansas stone and a little stropping had it back to shaving sharp.
 
That R-6 is on my "R-Series" short list, but I've gotta hold out for a wood handle. Of course, what I really need is a Rusty SG. :cool:

I don't think many people realize how perfect a utility knife this is. If mass-producing them wouldn't mess up the shop's schedule of Himalayan style knives, I'd say mass-market them all over Bladeforums.

It's even an excellent bushcraft knife.
 
I carry my commemorative Rusty SD in my boot almost daily. It's seen a lot of use over the years.

There have been a few forum situations where I would look at it and ask myself, WWRD?:D He was great man packed into a 5'4 frame. The knife is a dynamo in a small package.

I really like the look of the ricasso on that r-6. You could get right up on the blade for some finer control.
 
If I didn't like you guys, I would swear you were rubbing my nose in your R-Series opulence. :grumpy:;):D
