Email sent on the 14 inch 26 ounce BDC by Rajkumar Kami. I have been eyeing that model for some time.

Gorgeous BDC today! The BDC is one of my all-time favorite khuks after handling 50+ HI products. I have one made by Master Bura and it literally handles like an extension of my arm (left or right). This blade is special because it almost doesn't handle like a khuk at all as it's so perfectly balanced. My other HI treasures tend to have a forward weight bias, which is great for chopping as khuks are primarily a chopping tool and excel at chopping. For example, some of my 18-inch+ khuks will likely out-chop my katana. But for handling, training, and fighting, my 14-inch BDC calls my name every time! From what I've read (one of the forumites performed a chopping test and the BDC came out surprisingly well and probably the best pound-for-pound (or ounce-for-ounch)), the BDC can chop like a beast too. Just a wonderful blade that has truly a soul to it. Enjoy!

Even nicer neem on the GR/BC today than the other day. I would lightly sand it with some hi-grit paper, then hit it with Watco clear oil finish, and watch that grain just pop.

Oh, and it's a nice blade as well... :D

The neem wood handle does have some hidden character to it.
I may have to look at a GRS/bonecutter in the future.
It looks like it is a heavy duty chopper for sure.
