Indeed!

I regard these compact M43s being excellent as a first kukri. Classic (and tested) design, guaranteed for heavy chopping, full tang (for people concerned about this aspect), no ring on the handle (again, for those more conservative), handle curved so that it won't slip easily even when thrusting - and not too thin or thick for most hands, not over-the-top heavy (even if after handling it, you decide you went to light...it's still a very capable blade); all-in-all, a great starting point in exploring these knives.

Oh, and a somewhat curved spine, nice drop, harking back to another time. Sweet.

Wowza! That Purna Gelbu sure looks like a Single Fuller Chitlangi? Thats a great knife there:thumbup: More great looking Purna steel! Purna is amazing and I still dont have one of his pieces in my collection. Thats gotta change soon!

Sure hope I get that Manakamana - 24 ounce sounds just right for me!
Was holding out for a Thamar around the same weight but a Purna is just as good!

Got the DD,

I have a Thamar and still drooling over Purna's work as well. Let's not kid ourselves :P.

Editing to congratulate you on being fast-fast-fast! ;)

(And once again to tell you that, in case it disappoints you by any chance, I will do the Christian thing and take it from your hands in a heartbeat. I'm here for you, just give me a holler.)

Moon, yer a man after my own heart. So understanding, kind, loving, and especially considerate....like me!

Real pretty stuff today. Love the handle on that Dui Chirra.

Don't see a single dissapointment in the whole bunch. All winners today except me of course and it's still a fine day, I enjoys looking very much ya know.

Need to pick myself up a black and grey handle to go with my Vim AK.

And a yellow dhar handle.

Thanks Moonw - I understood that I had your blessings as I saw your post and no mention of ems being sent!
It feels wonderful to bask in the warmth of such good company!

Think it will take a crowbar to get this one out of my grip though!

Very generous of you, kind Sir. ;)

As for blunt objects in possession of gentlemen determined enough use them, I prefer not to bugger around :foot:, therefore it is reasonable to assume that you will enjoy your new acquisition in freedom of any disturbance.

Got the DD,

Congrats, that was my choice for kukri out of all today. I have a Lachhu example in the villager fit and finish variety. Yours appears to be full polish. Please post pics of you can

Some really beautiful blades today. I've been on a spending spree as of late so I'm toothless now, but not forever.
