Yes, these are all very fine, but I'd really like HI to make a Mauser magnum action in 416 Rigby with a neem wood stock and Bura handcarving.

Also, HI should consider contacting NASA, they're having troubles keeping shuttles in the air.

Gotta love that M43

Wow, $20 off the Uddha, and a rare Neem M43 bu Sher no less. Great deals today! Still holding out for a wood Attitude tho...

Beautiful offerings Yangdu. Great pics too. Gettem sharks.

Tha's the first "villager" model I have seen in a long time. They do villager versions of standard models, but these "villagers" are kind of a khuk unto there own. I have one that is 15.5" (my very first one) that is heavier than a BAS, but does not have the fullers of the AK. Not a big difference, but kinda cool just the same:)

Someone beat me on the Karda. And I thought I was so fast today. . .

Great looking blades all around

Well, I happened to be on this special within 10 seconds, but then lost 3 minutes dawdling on the M43. I have 3 by Kumar and 1 by Amtrak, but no Sher and no Neem. Finally could not justify it as my hill walnut by Kumar is this exact spec. Maybe someday.

So that's a long winded way of saying I sent for the YCS karda as well, probably a bit later than you did. Dawdle = denied! We'll see.

Norm

P.S. "Done deal will ship today. Thank you."

Is my run of bad luck over now? :D I'm sorry Waterhouse. I hope you get another, as I know _exactly_ how you feel!

Villager WWII is mine.(Er...that is a WWII isn't it?) Nice! Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks, Yangdu!!

You mean the #2 Villager? (Sometimes called the Vogpuri special.) Or the horn hanshee?

Great price on that villager.

Norm

That's ok norm, I'm sure it won't be the last time I get beat. I was a couple minutes late, but at the time I refreshed there were only 2 views. I guess you were one of them. It's always a win/win situation when emailing Yangdu, either I get a new blade or money stays in my wallet. :D

I smell Neem.........:D

Yeah, #2. It looks an awful lot like a WWII. I assumed Yangdu forgot to put that in the description. Completely ok if it's not. Looks sweet and agile. I'm looking for a great camping/BOB khukuri and this looks perfect.

i know what you mean by justify and "exact spec"...

the GRS i got for $75, and is now sharp (but not sharp enough! bwahahaha, and i really want to refinish the handle next), is way to close to that sweet sweet M43. oh yes.

ETA: note: they had snow out that way, and the blade looks fogged. that happened to me when i was out chopping last week. kinda annoyed me a lot, as i was worrying about rust. had to find a bit of oil and wipe it down in a hurry.

20" 22" gimme gimme :>

okay, back to the studying.

It all gets down to incredible subtleties sometimes. Do I want to spend $135 on a beautiful M43 that may not be _exactly_ what I'm looking for?

The sole problem with M43's that I have is that the handles are always a bit too short. That holds true for kumar and amtrak and looks like the same issue for me with this one by Sher as well. Bura seems to make them a bit longer. I'll hold out for one by him, but very well may regret missing this one later on.

indeed, on the handles. i have a big paw, and the handle length is critical. almost all the handles on my kuks are balance fore and aft of the hanle ring - which means they fit well, and like the 6" handle in the YCS thread, allow for different grips, holds... i'm pretty proficient at managing that dexterity (years of club juggling i tells ya; maybe it's raquetball; when i'm feeling stupid i'll juggle knives again, but not play r-ball with one :>)

so, a lot of those handles i'm seeing lately, the butt end of the handle appears to be 1/2+- of the other end. doesn't work for me, sadly, no matter how much i like a given blade.

Oh I don't feel bad ( wouldn't even feel bad paying full price for an M43 from the store page, since it is such a great deal any way) just a bit disapointed, but like I said..there is always next time..and the time after that...and so on..:)
