Hadn't heard of a Gangawal before this. Last mention on Bladeforums is in 2002.

Eric.

The horn-handled M43 would be a nice complement to the ones I've got in antler and wood, but alas, I just can't do it. I hope there's one around when I have some dough.

KH has a similar model called "ganjawal" comes with a set of tools also...

maybe somebody can explain what gangawal/ganjawal means in nepali

I have the NKH gangawal (ganjawal), but at 16" and 21 oz. it is smaller. It is sold as a ganja cutting knife, literally meant for cutting (certain) plants up I guess. It's a nice little knife, but I would have loved to snag this one.

Sgt. Khadka was once known only for his little Biltons and Dhankutas and such, but now really seems to have hit his stride with the larger models. I used to have all his big ones, even a few one-offs, but with his own UBE, ganjawal and some of the larger CAK's I am falling behind.

And these new longer handled M43's by Sher are killing me! I already have two horn M43's, one old one by Amrak with short handle but superb blade, and a grey horn handled one by Vim, so can't really justify this one (How sad! Reduced to _justifying_ buying knives! Actually coming up with reasons?  )

I'm going to have to sell off some older stuff soon...

A wood-handled katunje my special was among the first HI blades I picked up. I got another one for my brother in Colorado. They are nice little blades ("little" only in comparison to other HI standards). I have not seen them come along very often. You will like it.
