I know. If I hadn't just bought the Bonecutter yesterday I'd be on the CAK. I'd love to know what the surprise is.

dang that karambit looks nice....

question: the k-bit I ordered (2/6) has a larger choil than the one pictured in this DOTD. That's not going to be an issue in the blade's durability right? Probably just being unnecessarily paranoid and falling victim to the "oh look at that one..." syndrome haha. HIKV really seems to be a sickness

Won't make a bit of difference:) I've handled 3 of them with varying hole sizes. All of them were built to outlast my great grandkids, and keep in mind I'm just shy of 31 :p Pure aesthetics:thumbup:

Great snag on the karambits , glad they are making a comeback . . . "caution" the finger holes are purely for grip , twirling them may cause the blade to take a bite out of you :D

I like those kerambits, but I'd like to see one that's a little more poky, personally. The tip profile looks a little blunt for my tastes.

I was thinking the same thing. Also, the lines where the fullers meet don't seem as "crisp" as in some of the photos of older kerambits that I've seen in this forum.

I wonder, though, if maybe the new photos just aren't as good. The angle and sunlight reflections seem to make a big difference in how a blade looks in a photo. Even the exact curvature and tip is sometimes affected.

I hope we can see more photos of the kerambits, from different angles and varied lighting. Because of all the compound curves, it might be more sensitive to photographic techniques than other blades.

Email sent on the CAK unless a ghost sharp already bit on it. Hoping to snag a farm knife soon also. One is a gift for my wifes' grandmother, can you guess which one?

HI K-bits take cute pics, but I like using mine for a baby camp axe sometimes. Muahahahhaha!

I'll try to post up pictures of mine when it arrives. If my technological ineptitude doesn't impede the process... I think I need a flickr account first?

I'm curious to hear what the comments might be (after all I am a complete neophyte when it comes to khukuris and their construction) I just know they look badass!

I would suggest maybe opening a photobucket account. It's free and has always worked for me. You take your pic, upload it to photobucket.com, edit if you wish, and then it gives you an option to copy a direct image link (starts with an IMG). When you post here, just copy that link from your photobucket pic and paste it into your post. It'll automatically wrap the tags around it and insert it into the post:)

I'm not the sharpest khuk in the shed, and I can do it. You'll be fine:)

Post pics if the karambit in the grip if you please :)

I personally feel HI karambits are truly the strongest in the karambit world and would like one but 'pokyness' is a main requirement for me.

A pokey kerambit might need to be a special order. These things were designed to be khuk-like in nature. They have even been called "Khuk-rambits" before. More of a mini EDC khuk than a stabby weapon.

Good Morning to All, My friend Dan and Kathy just callled me and he said he is going to hospital for cancer treatment and they need my help. I will be gone for the day and will try to post dotd later this evening or tomorrow.
