Nice Bowie! Thats like yours Gehazi except its bent:thumbup: Some cool looking wood on the KLVUK too.

Can't see pictures for some reason. Hopefully a temporary glitch, I need my DOD fix today!

All good now, must have been a temporary glitch.

Like the Chainpuri, nice.

The Bowie and the Chainpure are beautiful. I need to add a Villager Bowie to my "To Buy" list, especially one of these curved handle ones. I've noticed I have a distinct preference for curved handles, even if it's slight.

]Cain't believe someone hasn't sucked up that KLVUK!! From personal experience, that is one awesome work horse. Probably the very best khukuri in the litter. So what if I'm just prejudiced?:D Really been considering getting one for each of my sons when their birthdays roll around. That Chainpuri is so very close to being the twin of mine that it's not funny. The sheath definitively is.

I love the bell on the end of that chainpuri. Looks like a nice size handle.

Anyone know if the wooden scabbard that comes with the Chainpuri would have the holes for the karda and Chakm? I'm assuming because Auntie stated they were missing implies that it does.

Man, I have been after one of those bowies for a couple months. I really shouldnt. My wife and I are surprising our little girl with a trip to Disney and every penny counts. Still...the siren song of the bowie is a strong one:p.

If it's still here tomorrow I may cave:p

Yes there are holes for the karda and chakma. They are tiny holes and you are better off without them. I have a 19in 23oz Chainpuri just like yours. The karda and chakma are a joke and look ridiculous. The chakma actually sticks out with half and inch of steel showing, they are all like that.

These aren't made by HI but they are hand picked by HI in the Chainpuri district in Nepal. The blade on my example is flawless and sharp, the sheath is nicely carved. The only thing that detracts from it are the karda and chakma. Consider yourself lucky you didn't get them, unless you wanted good chuckle. :D It really is a fine piece and yours looks to be nice and light. They are great fighting kukris although the grip is a little narrow for my tastes. You got an uber deal for 65 bucks!

I used up all my brownie points with the wife or else I would be happily sharking that KLVUK. Jealous of that Chainpuri though its a steal of a price on it too, one day I will grab one of em.

Not sure why the Reti isn't gone yet. I might scoop it up if its there at the end of the day. Those Retis are foot long razor blades made from almost diamond hard files. I have two and I might need a third ;)

GB, you were then more fortunate than I.

reti is def a knife to have, auntie says after the reti are gone there will not be any reti for many years, as they just got new files for the shop when they moved, and turned all the old steel into reti knives.-- this is why I was so obsessive about getting my baker's dozen of the reti-- so I am with gb, somebody better get that or I will. reti knife is part of history of HI more than most knives, as they probably helped to shape most of the knives that came out of HI for the past 10 years; there be magic here.
