Boy, I wish I had the money. That khuk is perfect!! WOW:eek:

Email sent on the Gelbu special.
If I get it, it will be my first " skinny" bladed Khuk.

The DUI CHIRRA looks more like a sword. I see however getting that making a fancy back-scabbard for it.
I like the finger-guard and finger groves.

Good snag Joe. I've never seen neem grained like that before.

It's not snagged yet. I'm waiting for the email that makes me feel like a lottery winner.:) ( or loser):(
I have to go to work and this will be an awesome shift if I win it--- and there isn't too many shifts like that.
It's just like Christmas when those packages arrive from Yangdu.
I really found the Nepalese newspapers that were the wrapping paper interesting even though I don't understand any of it, it's still cool.

Wow I would have pounced on that 12" AK if i had been here on time;) Those little chiruwa "pocket battleships" make great stash-n-go camp knives. Big and sharp enough to get the job done, stout enough to use to pry yourself out of your car (God forbid).

Now, that khuk with a guard...breathtakingly awesome:D Looks like the sidearm of a monster hunter. Graceful all business function.

Couldn't have said it better! Really nice, a little over 2 and 1/2 pounds and I'll bet it hits like a truck.

I also really like it that the Kami's seem to be adding lanyard holes in the handles now. Nice touch, and he also gives you a ton of handle. For years my sole complaint about some HI models (not all) was that the handles were often for smaller hands.

Tirtha really seems to know his buisness with this style blade. The ASTK, the Deradune and this all have a similar appeal, and all look sharp!

Good Lord!

Beautiful grains in the neem and a very special cho as well !
Longer handle on Gelbu makes this a very fearsome fighter!:)

I did!

Yup, I think this one truly meets the definition of a "sharpened pry bar."

Bill

One day. One day, I will beat you to the punch on these HI knives! ;)

I must've sent my e-mail slightly after you. Such is life, I'll be keeping my eyes open for another full-tang AK. Post a review when you test it out, it'll be sure to be a real workhorse.

If I ever saw a CAK at 18" and around 1.5lbs to 2.0lbs and with the handle of the VILLAGR FIT AND FINISH DUI CHIRRA BY TIRTHA KMAI, I'd snag that in a second. Man, that handle looks comfortable!!!

Does anyone know if that is something I could request from HI??

Good snag Joe. I've never seen neem grained like that before.

I did manage to survive the sharking waters and win the Gelbu Special.
It will be my first "skinny" bladed khuk and I'll be interested to see how it feels in hand.
The flip side of this is that my shifts have changed and the chances of me ever seeing a DOTD again are almost nil.
My thought is if the khuk was meant to be mine then it will find me and I will give it a good home.
Of course, there may be the odd day where I might be off and a DOTD come up at the same time and I'll be back in the frenzy again.

-- i would be trying to buy the -- VILLAGR FIT AND FINISH DUI CHIRRA BY TIRTHA KMAI

but there is a Khuck in the mail already and i think i may have i have spent to much

Can you send us pics once it arrives? I would be curious how it handles and everything.
