21.5 inch 34 ounce Bhutan Sword by master Kamis Bura. The handle is Montana elk antler scrimshawed on both sides.
This beautiful sword is indeed a great buy. However, it does have an unusual hammer mark on the blade. It certainly does not distract from its value but I would be remiss if I did not make you aware of it.
Today only $150 YBB. *SOLD*

18 inch 30 ounce Garud Ang Khola by Kumar. Carved satisal wood handle.
Perfect rig. Yours for $125 YBB*****

17 inch 23 ounce baby Ganga Ram by Bura. Smooth satisal wood handle.
Bargain @$85 YBB. *SOLD*

Big 10-4! Mucho better-er.

Steve's right...they added a keeper strap!

WooHoo! Innovation!

All beauties today! I know the standard bolster is considered nicer overall. but this WWII is a perfect example of a knife that looks great with the bolster just as it it.

I cannot believe the price on that 18" trisul. Essentially getting the biggest one made for the same price as the standard.

Good stuff.

Yep, the old scabbards had a strap, but it didn't do much to keep the knife from falling onto my toes. This seems like nicer leather as well.

Jumped on the Trisul and got in under the wire. Then dawdled on the WWII, reconsidered for 5 minutes and missed it. One of these days I'll get a nice user 16.5" WWII. Definitely one of the must have models...

wow ... quickly gone today, ... if only i had the money for the Garud Ang Khola,

i'll try to be faster next time,

Alex

I love these threads. Happiness and analysis, descriptive and involved; what can I say? HI infection at its best.

These on- mark observations are just one reason why we enjoy the authentic collectors amongst us. I hadn't thought about it, Norm, and when I looked at the photo again with this in mind I saw it was true. For some reason, with the pronounced straight angles of the blade curve, and the drop point style tip giving it a business look, you are right. Habaki looks good.

I agree about the Seax scabard, I wish I'd held out for this one instead of buying mondays Seax. I also wish I had logged on earlier to buy that Butan sword. I think my HIKV is setting in seriously now, I have two on the way that havnt gotten here yet and had I seen it sooner I would have bought another. I would give some body part for that Butan sword, can't really think of what, I'd say my left arm but that baby looks pretty heavy so I might need that.

What is Horn wood?

Holy Toledo.

I hadn't noticed it, but it looks like two pieces of horn with a piece of wood in the center. It's hard to tell from the pic, but the center part looks lighter.
