gave away my other 'small' khuk to a friend (was 15 inch AK)... must fill the gap

I received a really small (8-9 in) khuk from a Nepali Army officer buddy a while back.. its too small for tough field work, but still a sweet knife

I finally got to speak with Yangdu this morning. She was so helpful and this AK is shipping soon, I should have my first HI piece next week!

I am so excited! I have admired these pieces for so long and I can't wait to actually own one.

thank you! I really like the Ultimate Fighter, but I am going to have to spread it out a bit or my wife will kill me! lol.
 
Definitely KEEP MOMMA HAPPY. If she gardens, you might consider letting her use it. Sometimes after the lady of the house finds their utilitarian value it becomes easier on the man of the house. Plus you'll get to clean it and practice your chakma use keeping the edge right.

Just a suggestion to you to also consider the Uncle Bill Especiale. I don't have one but have heard good things about it.

Not at all amon. The anticipation is both delicious and dreadful. Before you know it you'll have it in your hand marveling that you finally have it and almost disbelieving that it is hand-forged. That's when HIKV has set in and your thoughts keep running to the next one.

Wow... your fist HI - this is a major event! I remember my 1st.... a 20" AK by Bura. It was so much bigger than I thought it was going to be. I was blown away at how balanced it was, how much chopping power. Your AK will be the biggest 12" knife you've ever had - it'll redefine what "big knife" means to you. There are knives.... and then there are HI's. Welcome to the club!
