Nice snag HD! I'm looking forward to hearing how you like this new model from the Sgt. The blade shape looks a lot better, let's see how they chop!

wow, those look OUTSTANDING. the weights are good, the shape and edge profile...

16, 18, and 22? coooOOOoooll !!!

collect the whole set :) i probably will...

Those look a lot closer to the Bonecutters we asked for. Thanks a bunch to everyone involved. I'm broke so it will be a while before I could get one. That 18" Model is the one I'd be interested in... Or maybe a 22". Yangdu, The camp site is lovely. I hope you had a good time up there. and the food looks pretty good too...

Other than the handle rings these look real promising. I'll do a comparison. The blades look nearly identical from the pics.

Even though I don't have an original Bonecutter to compare it with, I'll try to give it a proper review as well. Although, I could compare it to an 18" M43 that I have.

Trivia fact of the day:
Some of you may already be aware of this but speaking of throwing Khuks, there is a knife thrower named John Bailey who designed a thrower after the classic Khukuri shape.

I've thrown them, they're....interesting.

Please move this to the Cantina if posting the link is in poor form.

Sweet! Good snag Hollow. I'm glad you got the first one. I really like the 18"er, but think the 16" model would be the most useful all around knife. Please let us know how it compares to the original in your opinion.

I hope to get one of these soon, and am glad to see they came from Sgt. Khadka.

Looking forward to reading the reviews on these babies. Have waited anxiously since the idea popped up :thumbup::thumbup:
Cheers
Eric
Edit: They look gorgeous!!

my understanding is that this batch is almost sold out, but never fear, tell Auntie you want them, and even pre-order directly! and more will appear. for sure for sure. demand + cash == bone cutters :)

from all the picture staring, they look to be super fine. can't wait to hold one myself soon (another 16 inch). i owe yangdu some chopping pictures from the Super-CAK and the 16 inch will be a really good camping blade, is my guess.

the 18 inch should be a super duper chopper, light splitter at that weight, not too heavy, not too long. good stuff. one of those is probably in my future (on my wish list!)

a 20 would round out the sizes, perhaps. that 22? my god. i think trees are shaking now!

i ponder... would a 14 inch be practical? except to collect? perhaps a 9 or 12 inch "baby" model. i like the big fat belly. MMM :)

what's the longest meanest size? 25? 30? 35? 40 inches? more? hahahahah. sorry, went mad there for a minute.

another one for me. i'm giddy!

really great shot... artistically inspired.

i have to know, what kind of shrub? is that? is that a tree? what what what? very pretty.
