To Everyone, Just a note this morning to let you all know I spoke with my father in Nepal yesterday in regard to delayed shipments and have been assured they will be on their way soon. Your patience and understanding are very much appreciated at this critical time. Be assured as soon as I receive merchandise I shall be busy shipping and posting. In the meantime, though my stock is very low, I shall try to post something every few days. Again, thank you all for your continued friendship and business and understanding in this situation.

18 inch 21 ounce fast kobra by Sher. Satisal wood handle. Perfect rig.
Yours for $80 YBB. *SOLD*

18 inch 25 ounce Sher attitude model by Kumar. Great work by Kumar. Small hairline crack in horn handle will never develop into anything. $80 delivered. *SOLD*

This 16.5 inch 24 ounce WWII by Amtrak Kami which I have included with blems is really not in that category as it is really an exchange. However, there is a minute scratch on the blade so I do not wish to advertise it in any other way. It is a terrific buy and well worth the asking price of $70 YBB. *SOLD*

13.5 inch 14 ounce villager balance Knife by Sgt. Khadka. Horn handle. Small imperfection on the leather scabbard. $55 YBB. *SOLD*

15 inch 22 ounce Ang Khola by Bura. Only thing wrong with this Khukuri is superglue fix crack in horn hanlde. Great yard Knife for $70 YBB. *SOLD*

15 inch 14 ounce Sirupati by Bura. Excellent rig. 1.5 inch hairline crack in horn handle that will most likely stay just like it is. $58 YBB. *SOLD*

E-mail sent on the 15" Sirupati. Anybody that knows me, knows I've got a soft spot in my heart for them. It'll probably wind up in Iraq if I get it, 'cause I like people more than I do knives, but at least I'll get to sharpen it and test it out first.

Rats, got mauled by a shark, guess it's time for me to take off and go traipsing among the purty wildflowers. Get after them khukuris guys, there ain't a loser in the batch!

Yep, the 15" siru would have been my first choice too.
We both got beat. LOL

Hmm, "shark" is one thing that I haven't been called in my life. ;)

Since I just happened to bumble into this at exactly the right time, I'd make a pretty poor shark. Maybe a better vulture? :)

I'm definitely looking forward to the 15". I like lighter blades, and I've heard nothing but good things about the liveliness of the Sirupatis.

15 inches and 14 ounces, ouch, I've got a 20" 19 oz. Siru that's razor sharp and frighteningly quick in the hand. Everybody that handles it gets an odd look on their face, and without fail, they all describe having just had an eerie cold shiver run through them. Some khuks are good at chopping wood, others inspire darker thoughts. :D

"Some khuks are good at chopping wood, others inspire darker thoughts."
When I pick up mine it is similar to an early Gerber Mark II.

I'll drink to that.:D Sorry Andy, took your words out of context, but when it comes right down to it, in spite of all the challenges, plenty of new khuks will eventually show up from Nepal. But, how many Yangdus are there out there? I was, and am, proud to have been one of Uncle's "nephews", proud of the things Aunt Yangdu has achieved, and the good work she continues to do. A khukuri is just a knife, it can be replaced easy enough, but some of the folks I've come to know by way of this forum are one of a kind, truly irreplaceable. The knives are just a bonus. :)

I received the Kobra by Sher yesterday. My first Khukuri. It felt more formidable/substantial in my hand than I had anticipated. I am enjoying reading the threads here and learning about Khukuris, the Kamis, Nepal, etc.

Welcome, Eric:)

Those Kobras are something special...at least they are to me, anyway;) Welcome to the HI forum. Just don't go chopping down any trees with that whispy little kobra. Strictly for machete and bump in the night duty;) Please read the safety thread before Kismet shows up at your door.

Stick around:) There is so MUCH to learn.

Jake

Thanks, Jake. Right now my biggest challenge will be to keep the Kobra out of the hands of our boys until I learn enough to be able to give them some proper instruction. I plan on taking it very slowly...
