I will take the Tarwar! email sent!

I will tell you all now, I LOVE my Annapura Bowie! It is a GREAT field blade, better than any machete by far!

Dude! A genuine Bura Tarwar.... this is an event to celebrate.

I probably shudda been kinder to mine - but its such a great blade that I've been using it for a machete (that & the Bamboo Cutter). The Tarwar is such a joy to use that I bring it out even when that much fire power isn't required - I just like to swing it!

I have a Young Sher Tarwar for abusing... this one is for being nice to :)

I almost couldn't type when I saw what it said! I was so worried someone else was already submitting "I'LL TAKE IT!" that I just started hitting keys and hit submit and picked up the phone and called her. :D

If you don't have an Annapura Bowie, THAT is the one you should grab for abusing. I have been using mine non-stop in my yard since I bought it

Folks, I'm one of the forumites that handled the HI Annapurna Bowie by Lok Kami.
This blade wants to work. It has a rock solid feel, and I think it's one of the best "knife as a tool" blades I've seen. Vines, bamboo, trees...
That curved Sirupati is amazing :-)

Lotta great stuff coming out of the shop:)

Finger grooves on a Tarwar is always a plus, and that bowie looks amazing:) Congrats to the sharks:thumbup:

Email sent on the HI ANNAPURNA BOWIE BY LOK KAMI. The blade shape and utilitarian look of this piece is calling to me. The affidavit of Dino in Reno seals the deal.

Hello thecook. That does look like a nice working blade you're shootin' for. Looks great for clearing some overgrowth. Nice avatar, too. I'm not familiar with western snakes...but Corn Snake?

Rick

You pegged it Rick- the avatar is a corn snake. My son has had one for a few years, and I've been fond of snakes all of my life. They make great pets.

Yeah they do. Back in '78-79 my girlfriend's brother brought her a king snake he had found while surveying. It laid 11 eggs and IIRC we got 8 to hatch. Did some time with a boa, too. I always give snakes wide berth and don't kill 'em. If they are there, there's a reason. I'd rather have one rarely seen snake than be overrun by mice or whatever they're eating.

So is it confirmed-is that Bowie yours?

thecook,
If you don't like it, let me know. I'll have another check by then :-)
It's not a too-big monster (like some machetes and bush knifes), but a solid wearable, transportable tool.

I have my Jungle knife now and here is a nice comparison picture with my Annapura Bowie for you all...

Is the bowie still available? I ask because there is no sold label on it.
As far as i know it's still available. Auntie is usually pretty good about marking them. If you want it shoot her an email and she'll tell you.

Signed, sealed, delivered...it's mine! I can personally attest that the Annapurna Bowie in the photo is now in my possession. Sorry, heresay1, you'll have to find another!

Cheers,

Nick
