That FF is perfect. Good snag.

nice foxy... haven't seen one in a long long time... though i'm wondering, the handle seems kinda stubby - is that normal? perhaps i've just gotten used to or self-selected longer handles for my big paw...

can't wait for more. might have to though, just got GOL'ed... :P

The handle does seem stubbier a bit, but check out the weight. It should handle very nicely.

It might be a four inch handle like the one especially made for me by Bura. Fits me perfectly and with absolutely no friction or rubbing from the flare on the handle!!!! :D
It is slowly being tweaked to get it exactly like I want it; a little brother to the full sized Foxy Folly that has been blued and the handle finished in a more matte finish.
I may try to make a scabbard cover like the one Terry Sisco made for my big one too with the same style frog and a couple of old kardas from Atlanta Cutlery.
Now that would be cool!!!! ;) :D

yah, one of the FF pictures there measures at 17 CM which is easy enough to work with... ;) the handle would then be about 4.5 CM er inches ;) so, given my paw, very stubby. i'd be tasting cho with my index finger more often than not. probably not a bad thing for the bando retention method.

yar. blueing. that's on my list. have several blades i'd like to practice on, including a $20 hanwei snag.

have also been working on in my head, a braided turks head knot method - pretty and strong to attach a lanyard/loop to the flaired end, for a wrist strap safety. sometimes it give me the willies to have 28-30 ounces of razor sharp steel that might fly out of my hand given the right shock. hands are sneaky that way.
