That Samsher is the one I would take and I see it's already gone! Very nice. I have one just like this from last year that is 18.5" and 29 oz., but it has the habaki bolster. This one will be an outstanding chopper. Good fast snag for some lucky forumite!

Nasty's got it, that antler pen is choice! I have one that is very similar in antler although in Villager format. I would love to get the Attitude, but need to watch my pennies for a bit...

i am the lucky one,
pretty lucky indeed, that's not the kind of price that i am used to but that one really caught me from behind, ... i saw the 'non habaki' bolster, beautifull wood and very nice 'folly' like shape and couldn't resist: that's a winning combination as far i as i am concerned,

now i have to save for a few months before going for my next snag and allowing myself to be caught by a kuk :)

Received the 15" Pen today, great shipping as usual.

When the 15" Pen Knives came out, I wasn't wild about them. Something of the look just threw me off. This despite the fact I am one of the biggest fans of the original. The stars aligned on this special and I bought my first khuk in over 6 months.

But this 15", it has all the good stuff of the original, only more of it. A good design can be enlarged or reduced and keep its qualities. Very nice to swing, still in a decent size package for long term toting. This new Vim guy can really make a blade, and sharp too. Better yet, the handle on this one is not only U.S.-sized in length, but more importantly in diameter. Bravo to all!

The BGR has a reputation as a chopper, be interesting to put it against my 17" AK.
