This is nice!
Improved pommel design with polished handle and the ratio of handle: blade is almost perfect.
The texture on the scabbard's defined as well.
Coats of tung oil will do it good!

Yangdu certainly is the master of understatement concerning the 16 inch 17 ounce Chitlangi by Tirtha ... 'glorious' is what I see! :D

I'm continued to be awed by Tirtha's abilities, especially the combining of good looks and function into his blades.

And more amazingly he makes a 16inch Khuk which weighs in at 17 ounces, a trend I hope continues in his other works!;)

I agree completely, so completely that I sent an email... thought the HIKV was over, only to find out it has relapsed with a vengeance!

Congrat's Leo ... I doubt you could find a better user Chitlangi.

"Re-lapse" ... ??? I go though periods of remission, don't believe there is a cure?  :D

Hey all received my Kobra today....all I can say is sweet...I am going to be swinging her soon... at first glance I feel in love...well I like this Kobra alot and being my first and I am very excited...maybe we should start a Kobra thread and see what everyone has...or has it been done before..just an idea..thanks Yangdu and HI Kami's.

Just received the grs as well. It's built well and definitely looks and feels like a worker. I haven't chopped anything yet with it but soon will. On down swing it feels very forward heavy. I'm sure it will chop through the wood in my yard. I noticed the handle is a bit smaller than my last. Almost too small where my fingers slightly overlap over each other. Is this by design or is it a trait of the smaller grs? In any case, It's still a worthy piece and will end up going to one of my boys when they are old enough to learn about safetly and retain it. The handle looks to be made for smaller hands and it's fairly lightweight and thats perfect for a young one. Thanks Yangdu! I'm on the prowl for my next..

Oh wanted to add I also received 2 fundraiser sheaths. One of them goes to my mccurdy the other almost seems like it was made for the YCS. It was an exact perfect fit. Awesome.. now if only I could somehow stuff the kardas into the sheath as well..

Those Kobras are sweet ain't they;)
The 25"ers are brutal battle blades that could cleave through chain-mail. The 20" versions that come in right at 20oz are deadly quick, strike like a snake, and whistle through the air.....Kobras are some of my favorites:) I need to get an 18" version.

In a previous post I compared GRS handle length and girth.
I'll add that I have large hands, and prefer the 18" GRS for this reason.

...Note both the differences in handle length as well as width (girth).
The 15" is actually a bit small for my hands.
The 18" feels great.

This is one nice knife...I agree with Jay Goliath the blade to handle is almost perfect...I was doing some flow drills with this blade in my left hand (I am right handed) and it felt good....since my left is not my favorite, blades or sticks don't seem to move as graceful...but not with this one...my hand fills the handle just right and it moves tight...the fit to scabbard is really nice..it is almost like the blade is being sucked into the scabbard and this holds it very securely...I am really impressed...a great offer at a great price..keep em coming Yangdu..:-) thank you
