Whoooa! Check out that edge on that Chainpure! Thats a fast light knife! Awesome:thumbup:

So I dug around the HI website the other day, and apparently this Gopte stype is the "original" Gopte.

The longer/thinner version is called "Gopte Balance" instead.

That is an unusually shallow bevel for a kukri. Makes me want to buy it. That thing is going to cut like no other.

EMS Ganga Chainpuri. I probably should have resisted, but I couldn't resist that beautiful bevel, especially since my knife mentor/instructor has commented that most kukris have a steep bevel that is good for chopping but not cutting.

Someone stealth sharked the Ganga Chainpuri. Probably for the best, though it was a beautiful blade.

EMS and DD Chainpuri. Sorry Scara! Didn't have time too post in the thread earlier.

That tall bevel is what did it for me too.

Congrats Phillll....really nice blade there. Even with a newborn, this shark comes outta the deep and snags one....shark getting enough sleep?

That wasn't no stealth shark. That was one of them stealth squirrels!!

lol....

Well, at least it'll go to a good home that will appreciate it, and I suppose I can forgive you for stealth squirreling it. I have the IBBB you gave me in my pocket right now. And I did tell Auntie that I would love to see more kukris with bevels like that. Can you imagine a Hanshee with that bevel?

My villager bonecutter by Keshar Lal has nice tall thin bevels like that and it chops like a beast.

That gopte has some classical lines to it.
Philll, with that thing now you hafta learn some Bando...

Curse you people with access to real martial arts. All my area has is McDojos that teach such diverse arts as karate, jiu-jitsu, karate, and crossfit.
