Good question. Sgt. Khadka has a penchant for it, but I've never seen anyone explain what it is. Off the cuff, I'd say it's nickel silver. Whatever it is, it's pretty, so there.

Hello,
I picked up the Sgt. Khadka Samsher from the 4/3/07 posting and this model is a must-have. Reminds me very much of the early 1900's antique blades I've handled, fast and thin-edged, scary sharp. This is my new "bump in the night", have it handy blade. Whoever gets this one will surely be very happy!!!
