Wow! That is a lot of belly for a bonecutter. All the chopping power you will ever need. Just wish the handle was a bit longer on those, at least on mine, and perhaps add a steel guard to it.

Wow! The perfect (for me :) ) bonecutter, and me with no discretionary funds. :(

email sent (on the bonecutter)....if you're gonna get your first one, might as well get the top of the line, right?

7-8oz. lighter than usual for an AKB. And beautiful fullers in the second pic!

No truer words spoken...I like your thinking...:-)...beautiful blade you are going to get there...be the envy of the forum...good score...

I hope you were not interested in getting other kukris, cuz none will stand up to that Bonecutter! That is a work of art...

darn i am late again -- the bone cutter is the one piece i really think i will buy (trying to limit my knife buying :D ) i dont know if it is the name or the way you guys that have them talk about yours or what but a hope i catch one some day - good luck and congratulations to you all that found what you wanted

I have two observations: First, I really like the way the grip panels are on these recent AKBs. The older AKBs, some of them at least, looked as though the panels were kind of generic slabs. They looked good, but the new handles are really sculpted into the overall design. It looks great. I don't have an AKB, so I can't speak to the way they feel, but the appearance is improved with the new handles IMHO. Also, the weight seems ideal for a heavy duty knife that size. Second, the Sarge's work looks top notch! The first thing I notice is the lack of laha at the bolster/blade juncture. Then the machine-straight Sword of Shiva jumps out at me. The fit and finish on this BC might be the best I've ever seen, at least it looks that way from the photos. It's really nice to see the quality so high, and I love how the designs, like the AKB, continue to evolve and be improved. If only that BC had a 3/8" spine and was around 32 ounces! That'd be sweet. Take care.

i do gotta admit, i am a little intimidated that at 39oz, this thing is gonna be too much for me to handle. but i keep thinking that
1 - bonecutters are on the rare side
2 - i'll have no reservations chopping the tar outta this blade, weather i'm chopping a tree, a zombie, firewood...
3 - the money goes to a good cause

i'll get some pics up and a little review once it gets here...

i have an older one and i am more than happy with it - no complaints i can think of - i am sure the new ones could only get better

Wow, looks like the Sergeant's work is fetching higher prices these days! Good thing I got my BC back in the day! :D

the bonecutter arrived sat, but i haven't had a chance to try it out yet. it's absolutely a work of art. shortwinger said it best - this thing has prob set the standard so high that i doubt any knife will ever come close. at nearly $300, it wasn't cheap, but considering the workmanship, it's well worth it. i can see this as something that will be passed down to one of my lucky sons.

i live in a big city and in a townhouse complex, so it'll take me a day or two to scrounge up some scrap wood before i can chop away in the garage. i'd definitely scare the neighbors testing this on the front porch.

auntie, i can't say what a wonderful knife this is...it really is a work of art and to know that i can actually use it makes it that much more valuable. thank you so much and pass my compliments to sgt. khadka.

i'll prob post a review in the cantina since i received another khukuri from another vendor and i'd like to review them side by side.
