Sweeet... (In my best Napoleon Dynamite voice. :D)

BTW, I have seen Chits by Dharan, Kumar, Amtrak and most recently Bura. Bura made the 25" Neem Villager I got a few months ago, and it is perfect. But I don't recall ever seeing one by Sher. Anyone? This one is also heavier by at least 6 ounces than anything I recall.

Dawgone, that Kumar Karda and JKM in antler would make a superb set for $90!!! Where else could you get 2 stag handled custom blades for that much? Wow. I've already got a pair like that, and durned if I'm not tempted.

Sher made the one offered last week, but that is the only one I can find.

Oh, found another one from 1/03/2006

I've got that set as well (a year ago), and prices have NOT gone up- maybe down.

My 25" villager on 5/30 is by Sher. It is one stout blade!!!
It's 25" 45 ounces, compared to the 40 ounces of the one today. 45 ounces is pretty heavy for a little troll like me. :o

I looked at this one and didn't think it was as nice as yours, Steve, so I didn't try for it. That one ruined me for 25" chitlangis.

Thanks Eric and Steve! One of the first two made in 2004 by Kumar is 26" and 37 oz. I got the wood, and don't know who ended up with the horn. The 25" Bura Villager I spoke of is 34 oz. I did not know until today that there were any heavier than 40.

Steve, I agree on that antler set. Do you notice how on the last couple of KK's Kumar is curving the handle a bit? I really like that. I have antler KK's from Kumar and Sher, with Sher's being the stouter of the two, but am still tempted today.

BTW, just checked and the handle on my JKM is smooth. That JKM offered today is a perfect match for handles I have on an M43 and 14" BDC. I guess I'm pretty sick when I start creating matched sets in my mind. :D Not that I should be spending anyway. Looks like it went fast.

look at the cute chitlangi style mini khukri :) someone grab that, it doesn't come around much :) i heart mine.

the dui chirra mini khukri i grabbed a bit ago is 10ish inches oal - not so little. it looks quite fine next to a 14" bdc :>

Glad you beat me to it...I have the YCS's larger cousin and it is NICE. That's a good price on them.

OOPS,

Sorry to disappoint Soupah, I mix-up my copy/paste. I meant to post an email sent on the: 10 1/4 inch 8 ounce kumar karda by Kumar, the 9 inch 4 ounce world's biggest little Khukuri, and the12 inch 10 ounce BAS by Sgt. Khadka..

Sorry newbie mistake!

I have a 22" 30 oz. village chitlangi with horn handle by Bura that is one of my favorites (the first village chitlangi, I think). I hope I like this one anywhere near as much. It looks like it has a thin enough handle for me to get a good grip on it, which has become a big thing with me anymore - my forearms are starting to look like Popeye's from working out with these, so the weight isn't really an issue any more, but my small hands can be a problem as far as leverage and grip.

Kudos to Steve for the enabling... I have a set of antler handled Kumar knives on the way too....
