I also want to recognize Bura who has been training Dil in doing an excellent job of preparing and polishing HI knives and swords for shipment. Actually Dil has been an apprentice of Bura and is fast becoming a journeyman and I am so pleased with both of them and their work. Bura has been designing our Knives. Dil has begin to make Knives. Finishing knives and swords just doesn't happen without a great deal of work and I, as well as those of you receiving HI products, am so thankful for these Kamis work and loyalty.

Where did Dil come from? He's been a busy guy lately! And another new kami Ram Bhadur? That little villager he has done there is a jewel. Sisau wood, tapered handle, standard bolster, white metal fittings! Perfect camp knife.

Let's see, I really NEED that knife because _no other_ HI knife in my collection will work to fit the slot that perfect little guy will fill.

Damn! Can't even convince myself anymore!

That is a nice big thumper of a Pen.

Yeah, just the second in that size. Thumper is right. The 12" and 15" models made sense, and so do the 18"ers, but I already have a WWII that I suspect will handle about the same so can't really justify it. (As if that was ever a consideration. ;))

I already have a smaller Pen (and I generally lean toward the more "traditional" khukuri styles) but I really like the big Pen today. Just can't do it.

In looking him up on past messages it looks like he is the now 26 yr old brother? of Kumar, who has been his helper since at least 2002.

Of course, I could be wrong.
