thats a really nice size to weight ratio for the malla, and a really nice middle ring placement

and i just noticed the fuller :D (very nice looking)

Oh yeah...come to Pappa...

Would anyone please shed some light as to what to expect from the satisal wood and Sisau wood handles? What American woods do they compare to? That is, if there are any American woods that do compare?

Thanks in advance and many thanks to Yangdu.

All the very best,

Stuart

I think Satisal is a form of oak, but I'm not a wood chuck. If you do a search of woods, it has been printed in entirety on HI forum what all the woods are.

Satisal is very stable and beautiful. There is one wood prone to cracking but neither of these are it.

Likely a wood chuck fanatic will appear and answer your questions anyway. Wood chuck fanatics are compelled by their very obsessed nature to share all they know.
Dust bunnies might be worse...

OOPs- I could not get the search function to work. Don't know why. Can hardly get my son's game boy to function either....

Bura really outdid himself with that WWII. Pointyish tip, traditional bolster, minimum cho creep, and a handle with some curve to it. I like it.

I like the handle very much as well. Bura is the one Kami that really understands that our hands are larger than the average Nepalese and always gives us a bit extra length.

Nice to see a Malla again. It's been a while. One of my favorite blades. That Bojpuri looks a bit BGRS like, and is well done. Cool knife, standard bolster, great length and weight and villager to boot. That BAS is also nice. Ram seems to know his stuff. All good solid knives and great deals.
