If you don't have a tarwar yet, I highly recommend one.

Very stout and tough, yet remarkably agile.

DEFINITELY a true zombie slayer.

I got one recently and it's really impressive.

The length and weight is just right for it to be a good all around "survivalist sword". It feels like it could take on just about anything.
 
The Tarwars are geniune working swords. Though not intended for it (and I think it's NOT warrantied for such), I did kill a tree with mine. I had to. Like all of the HI blades, it's really "alive" in hand. Mine is also a Bura, you'll love it.
