Such bargains!

I keep one at my house and one at my shop for heavy duty cutting tasks. Fantastic users:)

Email sent for KLVUK #1.

Got the Done Deal. I'm curious to see what the Lali gurash wood is like.

Ahah, found this in another posting by Yangdu: "Rhododendron wood (Lali guras kath) handle." So it's Rhododendron.

Just got my first KLVUK on Friday that's 15" 17oz and came with a sheath. The rhodo handle looks phenomenal against the forge-scale, though it's already dirty. One of my favorites already. I made a kydex sheath for it, and it will most likely be sent with my friend on his 4-month trip to Costa Rica. Grab one of these, and hurry

I received a 15in 16 oz KLUVK from a deal a couple days ago. It arrived yesterday and it is amazing. The balance is superb and the sheath is heavy duty. It has to be the best pack khuk I own. Anyone on the fence about buying one should just pull the trigger. They are AWESOME, LIGHT, and SHARRRPPP!

It's unlike any other wood I have seen from HI. It is extremely dense and hard. It took awhile for the BLO to absorb in the wood. It stays very light even after BLO and wet dry sandpaper.

Interesting. I'm no wood expert but Rhododendron sounds like a very good fit.

Oooo that sounds awesome. I have an R10 knife with super hard maple grips that are polished so smooth they feel like river rock. I love a super dense wood on my knife grips. Sounds like rhododendron makes for a similar feel

Yeah I have a WWII with the rhododendron wood, it is really good stuff. Very hard and dense, and I had the same experience that it stayed light in color even after a few coats of tung oil.

I have a Hasiya made from Rhodo. Its dark like satisal tho. Really nice wood. Looks great and it is dense. I suspect with a high polish the colors will really come out. If I didnt already have five KLVUKS id grab one of these with the sheath. Thats a killer deal for a ready to go rig.
