God save my soul...I love the Tamang!

How thick is the spine on them? 3/8?

@Chef
Get it...you know you want it ;-))

A huge Santosh BC (after recent YCSs) and a Murali M43? It never gets boring on this forum. The knives you don't "need" but can't live without.

Mine is right around the same as Alexs', all three. about 5/16ths" to a 1/8" but I lack a micrometer at hand...

whats the role of the Tamang being much lighter?

I believe that the thinner blade helps it penetrate from less friction, though they will have less momentum than the thicker ones. Not 100% sure though :)

Amazing knives! Sadly I'll have to be a one-khuk-man at least until I graduate college~

Also, what's the curvature of the bonecutter like VS the M43? And, do the bonecutters have a wider belly? I wish it were on the dynamics page >.<

Edit: nevermind, I can just see that the bonecutter has a larger forward bend to it =0

It's role would be lighter vegetation, limbing and Brush clearing Etc....
It is not something you'd want to go chopping wood whole hog with and it isnt warranted as such.

I did a big review on Tamangs... it is still here on the first page too...

Welcome to the madhouse orthoelvis. Hope you can get the M43. Someone else had posted but it wasn't marked "SOLD" yet. If it is gone, don't fret. I have a feeling that Yangdu must have gotten a few in. She'll probably get more in soon too what with all the new kamis at BirGorkha.

I saw the post about the village knife and then went to hang a gate. Then I come back and some of the nicest kukris I've seen in a while were already sharked. I'm not much for really big kukris but that big bonecutter is a real looker!
